ARTIST Remi Winter

ZEBRAS AND MORE -- Everything from Horned Toads to Golden Langurs!   All paintings are done in acrylics on watercolor paper or canvas.  Some are whimsical, others realistic.  But in each, Remi tries to capture the essence and soul of these great creatures.

In the sixties, she studied pastels at the McNay Art Institute, oils at Trinity University, and design and life drawing at the University of Texas.  Later on, Remi worked in structural drafting and computer graphics where she began to develop a greater sense of shape and color.   Combining this with a deep love and respect for animals, Remi's present style began to emerge.  Memberships include River Art Group and Galleria II, both in historic LaVillita, and the Randolph Art League.

Remi says, "Art and animals are very close to my heart, and I enjoy having fun with both. Here's hoping my work will make you smile, too!"
