Born and raised in San Antonio, Thelma began to sketch
portraits and objects at the age of nine. Her passion
for art has remained constant since her first remembrances!
Thelma studied with Warren Hunter, Harold Gore, Mary Hetherington, among
others. Thelma has always felt the need to express herself in her
own way, not conforming to any specific school of thought.
Some of Thelma's work is in abstract form, called "Color Flow
Paintings," an original technique. These works are a free
expression of color and design to express a mood.
An award-winning artist, she is a member of the River Art
Group and the San Antonio Art League. Her paintings
are exhibited at the River Art Group Gallery in La Villita and
in Antiqueland on Austin Highway in San Antonio.
