Russ is a professional watercolor artist who
developed his interest in painting with this medium after his
retirement from the US Air Force as a Senior and Chief Scientist
at the Air Force Research Laboratory, Brooks AFB, in San Antonio.
His art interests include acrylic painting and stained-art glass.
He is an award-winning artist whose realistic style uses varied
themes including still life, landscape, waterscape, flowers,
animals including birds, Western and action scenes. He received
his art training from national and local art teachers. His paintings
are in private collections throughout the United States. He
is an active member of several artist groups, and his works
are represented by several art galleries. Russ resides in San
Antonio.
