“All I want to do is paint”, has been my standard answer to
‘what will you do when you retire”? So I’ve been painting every
free moment whatever I see in my travels: the play of light
dancing in the trees, flirting with the grass and kissing the
clouds; the way the sun can light a leaf and warm a rock or
make black lighter than white. I want to share this vision by
following the plein air tradition and being out there in the
elements to “capture” the moment. To meet my goal, I’ve studied
with artists: Janice Hindes, Camille Pryzwodek, Sherrie McGraw,
Laura Robb. John Budicin and Ron Rencher. I also squeeze in
painting regularly with other members of the Coppini Academy
of Fine Art. I am an active member of the San Antonio River
Art Group, the Austin Pastel Society and the New Braunfels Art
League.
