| Mary, a native San
Antonian, studied art in high school and later at the Coppini
Academy of Fine Arts in addition to intensive pastel and oil
painting workshops with award winning artists. She is a member
of the Coppini, the River Art Group, a charter member of the
Regional Artists Consortium, Rockport Art Assn., and Austin
and Central Texas Pastel Societies. Dedication to producing
quality art has earned her numerous awards including Best of
Show at the 2005 River Art Group annual Show. Mary's paintings
can be found in private and public collections. She has shown
her support of KLRN PBS by donating artwork to their annual
auction. Mary teaches pastel painting at a local Hobby Lobby,
the Northside I.S.D. Adult & Community Center, and OASIS (a
program for seniors). Since 2002, Mary sponsors an annual Pastel
Art Show which showcases her student's artwork. Producing paintings
that touch the soul, sharing with others the joy of painting,
and striving always to improve is Mary's goal.
