I was born in NYC and graduated from Queens College as a speech pathologist. I moved to Texas in 1974 so I guess I’m part Texan by now! My career evolved after moving to Texas where I continued my education and became a licensed professional (LPC) counselor.
I have always created. As a youngster I tried to grow every seed I found. I also constructed boxes from found materials to hold collections of shells, marbles, and other treasures. As a teen I started making jewelry and have continued to work with unusual beads and stones. When I became pregnant the available clothing was most unattractive so I became a maternity clothing designer for myself and then for others. Recent years have led me to my current art which is creating two-dimensional, mixed media , inspirational clay collages, as well as three-dimensional, abstract sculptures. The focus of all of my art is based on personal experiences.
