ARTIST Lorene Reitzer

Lorene grew up in the Hill Country of Texas on the family ranch with livestock, lots of wild life and beautiful landscapes. Her love for art took her from pencil art to oils and water color paintings. She enjoys painting landscapes and other scenes that have been captured thoughout the State of Texas and other countries. Her oils convey vibrant depth and beauty to the viewer. She has studied under a number of well known artists.

Her work includes still life, landscapes and florals, with an emphasis on Texas bluebonnets. The demand for her bluebonnet paintings has been overwhelming. Her artistic imagination results in the use of strong color and value, as reflected in her oils and water colors.

Her great love is God's creation that she loves to display in her work. Her work is on display at The Art Gallery in Wimberly, Texas, the River Art Gallery at La Villita, San Antonio, Texas, Regional Artist Consortium at the San Antonio Airport, Regional Artists Consortium at Sunset and Broadway, and at Los Patios, San Antonio, Texas.

She is a member of the Trinity Art League, River Art Group, Regional Artist Consortium, Medina Valley Art Society, and San Antonio Water Color Group. She is also a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and a member of the Texas Federation of Business and Professional Women where she has served as president of the Southeast Chapter. Her recent painting depicts the peace of the ocean as reflected in the waves of great beauty.

She also does custom paintings. Her studio is at her home at 9207 Serene Creek in San Antonio.
