from Southeast Texas, Lynda Medore is a self-taught jeweler who started
making jewelry in 1992 soon after moving to the Texas Hill Country. She
used to spend many hours searching for that perfect bead for that
perfect piece. Upon realizing the endless possibilities of creating her
own beads with a torch and glass rods, Lynda discovered her passion in
this fiery, ornate substance.
The burning desire to learn more, create more, led her to study
this flame-worked glass art form at Penland Craft School in North
Carolina. She has since taken a marble-making course from Jerry Coleman
in Albuquerque, and a metalworking course from Connie Fox in San Diego.
Ever aware of new fashion trends, she is now incorporating
semi-precious stones and designs in sterling silver wire with the glass.
Her jewelry is at once simply beautiful and stylishly collectable.
