Lydia Evans is originally from San Antonio and
has been fascinated by drawing and painting since childhood.
As a child she studied painting at the Witte Museum in her home
town. She also studied life drawing and painting at San Antonio
College. She put down her pencil, paper and brush for a few
years and traveled to India, Pakistan Sri Lanka. You may see
a little Asian influence in some of her art. She studied water-
color with Carol Hartman and oil painting with Al Slaven. She
considers her artistic abilities a gift from God in order to
capture the beauty in His creation. She likes to paint animals,
parrots and landscapes. She enjoys herself most when she's being
creative.
