Kathy received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1991 from Southwest Texas State University. She studied under Michele Conroy and Carolyn Bryce Brooks. In 1997, she set up a studio at her home and began taking workshops to keep abreast of new innovations and techniques. Kathy has worked under the expertise of Walt Glass and taken workshops from such as James Watson, Randy Brodnax, Lisa Ohr, and Tom and Elaine Coleman. Kathy has exhibited in many juried art shows in San Antonio, New Braunfels, a National Ceramic Traveling Exhibit, and at two Invitational exhibits at Period Gallery in Ohio. Her work is now being exhibited in the River Art Group Gallery in La Villita, New Braunfels Art League Gallery, and Textures in San Antonio. Kathy now has pieces in homes throughout the United States, China, and Europe.
