| Joe was raised in
Iowa but now resides in San Antonio. His acrylic
paintings and his drawings are very detailed and representational.
However, he does not hesitate to omit or transpose elements
to improve effect.
Among Joe's many awards are Best of Show in two River Art Group shows and
four other juror awards in that event; Best of Show in the San Antonio Artists
Exhibition and eleven other juror awards during those exhibitions; and Best
of Show at the Rio Grande Art Fiesta in Laredo.
His work has been accepted in juried exhibitions in Wyoming, New Mexico, Texas,
Oklahoma, Nebraska, Kansas, Alabama and New York City. Joe's art is represented
in collections of the Broadway Bank, San Antonio Art League Museum, Partners
Mortgage Services, Ltd. and the Randolph Air Force Base Officer's Club in the local area.
