CHAPS Photo Art
In the fall of 1968, on her way home from Vietnam, Joanne stopped
in San Antonio to visit a friend for a couple of weeks. They
went to
the Riverwalk for dinner. That's all it took! San
Antonio has been home since.
With a degree in Sociology but undecided about graduate school,
Joanne enrolled in the San Antonio Community College for some
photography courses. Finally, she had found that
means of creative expression she sought. She has
been doing business as CHAPS Photo Art since 1983. In
1984 she applied to the River Art Group and was accepted. Joanne
has served as both a regular hostess and has been on the Executive
Board for many years.
