Imogene's paintings of San Antonio scenes adorn the walls of
the MRI Clinic at Wilford Hall Hospital, Lackland Air Force
Base. Her artwork was featured in the October issue
of Arts and Antiques magazine. She has received numerous
awards and has been in many juried art exhibits, including eight
one-person shows.
Imogene is guided by her love for watercolor. She says, "I was always
excited by the challenge," and wondered, "could I really make it look like
that?" Once she was able to depict her subjects to her satisfaction, she
realized that color and light are what drew her to that medium. Color and
light are the emotions of her paintings. She chose watercolor because she
was fascinated by the mix of paint and water on paper. SOMETHING HAPPENS!
Her objective is to transmit emotion to her viewers. She hopes to impart
feelings of excitement, feelings of peace, love and light.
