| Irene Jean Courtney is a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art and
the Masters Degree Program at Western Connecticut State College. She has
been an art teacher in grades kindergarten through twelve for twenty-five
years. Upon retirement, she has focused on her love of creating with clay.
The Convention and Visitor's Bureau of San Antonio commissioned several of
her Riverwalk vases for award purposes. She is a member of the San Antonio
Potter's Guild.
