| "To create a painting
is to take a part of life and put it on paper or canvas so that
all the world may enjoy it. It is my hope to bring an emotional
response to the viewer whether the painting is realistic, abstract,
a landscape, wildlife, flowers or a child at play. The wonder
and excitement that life brings to each of us is what I strive
to show in my paintings."
In 1992 Edith was selected for a cultural exchange workshop
in Russia with Zoltan Szabo, a nationally known watercolorist.
The trip was sponsored by the Foundation for International Professional
Exchange and the Movement for Understanding in Moscow.
Among her honors are awards from the Western Federation of Watercolor
Societies, San Antonio Watercolor Group, Coppini Academy of
Fine Arts, and the New Braunfels Art League. Her illustrations
were featured in a children's book, 'The Pumpkin Patch'. Her
paintings hang in numerous private and corporate collections.
She is represented by NanEtte Richardson Fine Art Gallery in
San Antonio, Woodstone Gallery in Kerrville, Canavan Gallery
in Boerne, and Gary Osborne Fine Art Gallery in Port Aransas.
