Originally from Kansas, Dolores came to Texas as soon as possible! She
and her husband live on acreage south of San Antonio with their “critters." Dolores
is self- taught, but about 14 years ago she found a teacher who was relentless and
unselfish in sharing her skill.
Dolores' grandfather and mother, both with artistic ability, were a great influence
and left their mark on her. Her serious pursuit of art was "put on hold" while she
raised her family. But now, with time and a very supportive husband, Dolores is
pursuing her lifelong dream. She urges "never postpone what you need to nurture
yourself, as the element of 'time' cannot be retrieved." Further, "art is life
and surrounds all of us."
Watercolor provides her an unlimited palette to express its many facets. Knowing
that others enjoy what she creates is very gratifying.
