Dottie started painting in 1970. Her first lessons were under
Faye Sitton of Liberty, Texas. Since then, she has studied under
such artists as E. Frost Andrews, Dick Turner, Carol Gibson Sayle,
and Dalhart Windberg. Dottie B occasionally teaches both oil and
watercolors in her own studio.
She received her B.S. and Master's Degree from Southwest Texas State
University. She retired in 1985 after teaching mathematics for 28 years.

National Museum of Women in the Arts. Dottie, a charter member of the Deer
Park Art League, also holds memberships in the New Braunfels Art League,

She finds many different techniques and all subjects of great interest
