ARTIST Celia Shadrock

Celia maintains a studio in Adkins, Texas.  Teaching and sharing her knowledge of watercolor and oil painting have always been an important part of her career.  She feels she has a God-given talent to express the human emotional experience of creating art.  Her love for travel has taken her around the United States to include Hawaii, Europe, and Mexico.  Her travels have kept her focused, inspired and motivated.

Working with clay has fulfilled her like no other medium, from coiling her vases to making crosses.  Embellishing them with grapes, roses, and calla lilies is her favorite pastime.  She wants her glazes to have a watercolor look on her pottery.  Celia uses a transparent matte glaze over the soft underglaze to give them a beautiful sheen.  Her work is in collections across the United States and abroad.
