Colleen is President of the Medina Valley Art Society. She is a "Best of Show" winner with many other awards to her credit. She was the MVAS "Artist of the Year" for 2002. Her photographic skills enhance her theme composition collected while traveling throughout the state of Texas. The quaint Alsatian homes and historical landmarks of Castroville provide a connection for her since her Alsatian ancestors settled here when they came to the New World in 1844. Colleen takes pleasure in capturing the charm of this village for others to enjoy and loves living in the state of Texas with its unending possibilities of subject matter. Radiant sunsets, colorful wildflowers, coastal scenes, and Texas desert scenes are among her favorite subjects.
Colleen is active with other organizations and galleries. Her work can be seen at Seven Stallions Gallery in Castroville, Bridge Gallery in
Wimberly, New Opera House Gallery in Devine, and the River Art Group Gallery.
