Brendy was raised in a military family and traveled
extensively through Europe. As an adult she moved to Texas in
1987 and has remained ever since. While in high school, her
family was stationed in Italy where she had a great art teacher
and saw some amazing art. Both factors influenced her decision
to become an artist. Brendy earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts
degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1993.
