ARTIST Bonnie Mann-Eddleton

As a second career, Mann started painting in oils again after a long absence. Her passion to create was always there and just two years into this second career she was accepted into the River Art Gallery in San Antonio, Texas She most recently won a top award at the 59th Annual River Art Show & Festival in San Antonio.

Bonnie is mostly self taught and credits much of her art knowledge and her skill to studying with artists in workshops and class environments. A full-time painter, Bonnie paints still lifes and landscapes from her studio in her home in the Texas Hill Country. Her favorite medium is oil on canvas. Mann says her paintings start with a concept, an idea that can be portrayed through her choice of subject and colors and composition. Mann states, I want to paint what I conceive in my mind's eye and I can only hope that my finished painting conveys that to the viewer. No matter what the subject, I want to invite the viewer into my world, by telling a story, conveying an emotion. I paint that which excites me.
I believe an artist is forever evolving and I am enjoying the process.
